Modern Slavery Policy

At Y1 Sport, we are committed to conducting our business with integrity, transparency, and respect for the fundamental human rights of all individuals. We recognise the importance of combating modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms, and this policy outlines our approach to ensuring these practices have no place in our business or supply chain.

The purpose of this policy is to demonstrate Y1 Sport’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. It also serves to inform our employees, suppliers, and stakeholders of our expectations and the steps we are taking to uphold ethical labor practices.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of Y1 Sport. We expect all individuals and entities associated with our business to adhere to the principles outlined herein.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking. These practices are serious violations of human rights and are criminal offences under various international and national laws.

Y1 Sport is committed to:

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Conducting thorough due diligence on our supply chain to identify, assess, and mitigate risks of modern slavery.

  • Building long-term partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders who share our commitment to ethical practices.

  • Training employees to recognize and respond to signs of modern slavery.

  • Taking swift and appropriate action if any instance of modern slavery is identified.

To uphold our commitment, Y1 Sport implements the following due diligence measures:

  • Conducting risk assessments to identify areas where modern slavery risks may be present.

  • Requiring all new and existing suppliers to complete a Supplier Code of Conduct that prohibits modern slavery.

  • Auditing high-risk suppliers to ensure compliance with our standards.

  • Establishing a whistleblowing mechanism for reporting any concerns related to modern slavery.

We provide education for our employees and key stakeholders to:

  • Enhance their understanding of modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Equip them with the tools to identify potential risks in our operations and supply chain.

  • Ensure they know how to report any concerns confidentially.

Y1 Sport encourages all employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to report any suspicions or evidence of modern slavery or unethical practices.

We regularly review and update this policy to ensure its effectiveness. Our commitment to preventing modern slavery will be communicated on our website, detailing the actions taken and progress made.

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Y1 Sport’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending April 2025.
